Emulsion explosives are taking an increasing share of the market because of their safety and versatility. Emulsions are two phase products whereby the dispersed phase is disseminated throughout a continuous phase. Explosive emulsions are a mixture of fuel and oxidant components. The oxidisers are predominantly nitrates and fuels mostly hydrocarbons of mineral or organic derivation.
